Evaluation of Sivand Basin Erosion by RUSLE Model During 1998 to 2009

چکیده مقاله:
The presence of human in nature and his willing or unwilling activities have culminated in a series of destruction and balance that clash in nature. Today, the increase of population and high demand for agriculture production has resulted in the destruction of plant coverage on the land, particularly forests and grassland, by human use that leads to increased erosion. We have investigated via using the world soil erosion equation, TM satellites images (1998) and ETM (2009) the erosion of Sivand River during 1998 and 2009. For the extraction and processing of satellite images, ERDAS was used for mapping and its related analysis we used Arc GIS and SPSS software. The results showed that erosion in 1998 was 406,172,389 tons and in 2009 it was 416,364,377 tons, an increase of 1.87 tonsper hectare. The main cause of erosion changes during the course of this study was the decrease in plant coverage which resulted from increased population as well as the interference in nature and immethodical grazing in grassland areas. These decreased soil coverage and weakened the soil against rainfall and other factors.

Full Length Characterization of PA Gene of H9N2 Isolated from Broilers During 1998 to 2009
Background and Aims: Avian Influenza (AI) H9N2 subtype was first reported to infect turkeys in the United States in 1966 and has been panzootic in Europe and Asia. The impact of avian influenza caused by H9N2 viruses in Iran is now significantly more severe than in previous years. Methods: Sequence analysis and phylogenetic study of the complete coding region Polymerase A (PA) gene of H9N2 subt...
متن کاملPredicting Soil Erosion With RUSLE in Mediterranean
Accurate assessment of soil loss is essential for sustainable agricultural production, 11 management and conservation planning, especially in productive rain-fed agro-ecosystems 12 and protected areas. The European Union considers soil as a non-renewable resource and 13 identifies that soil degradation has strong impacts on soil and water resources. In this work the 14 Revised Universal Soil Lo...
متن کاملAssessment of Soil Erosion Risk by Using Fuzzy Logic Model in Seymareh Chenar Basin
Extended abstract 1- Introduction Soil erosion is a process in which soil is separated from its original bed and transported to another location with the help of a moving agent [17]. Soil erosion is one of the serious problems in the watersheds of Iran and can be considered as one of the most important barriers to sustainable agriculture and natural resources development [6]. Soil erosio...
متن کاملModeling Soil Erosion Using Rusle and Gis Tools
Soil erosion involves detachment and transport of soil particles from top soil layers, degrading soil quality and reducing the productivity of affected lands. Soil eroded from the upland catchment causes depletion of fertile agricultural land and the resulting sediment deposited at the river networks creates river morphological change and reservoir sedimentation problems. However, land managers...
متن کاملSoil erosion estimation in conservation tillage systems with poultry litter application using RUSLE 2.0 model
Soil erosion is a major threat to global economic and environmental sustainability. This study evaluated long-term effects of conservation tillage with poultry litter application on soil erosion estimates in cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) plots using RUSLE 2.0 computer model. Treatments consisting of no-till, mulch-till, and conventional tillage systems, winter rye (Secale cereale L.) cover cro...
